Jena 6

Tommorrow is the judgement for the young men in Jena. It has been asked that everyone wear black in support of there trial and their livelihood. Click on the link to sign a petition that has been going around. Also click on the link for a YouTube video on the topic; I had a slight mishap with the video but you can still click on it and view. Here's an e-mail that was sent to me regarding the trial.

It is wonderful to promote your business and entertainment news. This is important information that will benefit us all in America! It's 2007 and we are still fighting this bull. MLK started it and the struggle continues!!!

Mark this day in your book. Michael Baisden is asking all to attend the sentencing of the Jena 6, Louisana young black boys on September 20, 2007. These boys can go to prison for life behind a high school fight against white students. This is serious family, and could be any one of our youths. If you are unable to show up and send a message about Racisim than Michael Baisden is asking all to wear Black that day for Unity and send a silent or loud prayer to those young men who are fighting racisim on behalf of us all.

Stuck? You Pay Me

Check this out...I'm sittin' here watchin' my man Dominic on Inside City Hall, and Mike Bloomy is paying $400 for high school graduation, $600 for each regents exam passed? What's going on?! Should a mo-fo get paid for what they s'pposed to be doing!!? A lot of interesting topics arise when we discuss this. Should this be looked at like a way for poverty stricken people to get ahead or is it just another hand out? My thing is at what point would you stop this program and what happens when everybody and, literally, they mama go graduate to get a check...Now if you ask "how we goin' pay for it?", it would be from private funds. So again, what's really good? Does it help to pay parents to come to the PTA meetin'? Please tell me what you all think?

Another Fun Day!

Aight......Ms. Rasheeda Coop's has been harrassin' me and buggin' me about how she got this going on n' that going on, so I'ma put y'all on. She is trying to organize a Ski Trip for 2008. You can find out exactly where the trip will be and the cost by contacting Ms. Cooper at coop_ra@hotmail.com. So holla at her so she can stop hollerin' at me! Seriously though (& I'm only kiddin' Coop's), it sounds like a lotta fun folks, so let's try to make this happen.

While You Paradin'.......

If you don't know Harlem is where it's at. This is never more true than during the 38th Annual African American Day Parade. The Parade marches down Adam Clayton Powell Blvd (7th Ave) from 111th to 142nd or 145th street every year. So while your enjoying the Harlem festivities go chk out Leo, SoArt & AllHipHop.com on 5th Ave at Nubian Heritage. Come out Sunday and support African Americans and show your love for Hip Hop. I'll see y'all there!
