Jamall Simmons would like to ask if any of the MCSM 'alum' have done their taxes already. He is currently doing tax preparation for Ty Asssociates, a reputable company located in Mt. Vernon, NY. The fee is reasonably priced and returns can be done with simply your years end paystub (however it is always easier to have a W2). Returns can be prepared for any state in the country. There is also a $50 referal fee for any one you send to Ty Associates who completes their return. All returns are subject to client approval; if you are dissatisfied witht the amount of your return or the costs of fees you aren't obligated to go forward with the return. Sounds pretty fare. Give him a call to get more info, could be a good way to earn some extra cash for the tax season.

I'd like to give a farewell shout out to the 'God Father of Soul' Mr. James Brown. I did a James Brown imitation at my MCSM high school graduation...inspired to dance like James Brown is what I should say. Mr. Brown was a shining example of achieving greatest and living to the fullest. Goodbye to an American icon; he'll be sorely missed.

I know, I know. Y'all thinking "Weight a minute..what's up with all them links on the blog......it's gettin to commercial! Let me explain. I've been hearing people talkin' about a my space page. I don't know if we need it being so this blog is operational. However, it might be a good way for everyone to kinda go bonkers with the socializing. Personally I just started an account about a week ago and it's pretty fun....Out side of all the world that uses it, there are a number of informative and productive groups on this site. Argueably (is that spelt right?) we are sort of tryin' to do our own myspace right here.....so whatchay'all think? Give me some feed back.

Alright family, Khalilah Ansari ('93) would like to ask for eveyone's support with "The Millions More Movement". The Movement spawned from the "The Million Man March" held back in 1995. The Millions More Movement has played a great role in the revitilization efforts going on in New Orleans and in overall urban economic development. There are a number of various 'building' or organization sessions and functions that are important to participate in and or be aware of. It's That Time Again!

Happy New year friends, folk & family. It's another year and we want to wish everyone the best for the '07! This year let's keep it as positive as possible and all be succesful in whatever endeavors you will be encountering. I got a good feelin gabout this one though y'all! The feed back regarding the blog has been great and we wanna thank everybody that has been making it possible. We do want to see more people talkin on the blog though.
